Former US attorney general to speak at UPS Thursday
Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. will be in Tacoma next week to speak at University of Puget Sound.
Holder will join Michael Reiss, a partner at the Davis Wright Tremaine law firm in Seattle, in a conversation Thursday evening about “Principled Leadership: The Courage to Face Challenge.” The speech is part of the Susan Resneck Pierce Lectures in Public Affairs and the Arts.
Holder became the first African American to hold the attorney general post when President Obama appointed him in 2008. He stepped down last year.
The speech is at 8 p.m. in Schneebeck Concert Hall. Tickets are $20 and available at tickets.pugetsound.edu or at Wheelock Information Center, 253-879-3100.
