The city of Lakewood has planned a community celebration to mark the 20-year anniversary of its incorporation.
The free event is Saturday from 1-6 p.m. outside Lakewood City Hall, 6000 Main St. SW.
Festivities include the city’s first mobile food fest that will feature nine South Sound eateries, including Budha Bear Bagels, Frying Dutchman, House of Donuts and VietNom Nom.
The family-friendly event will include live entertainment with performances from area schools, including the Lakes High School Jazz Ensemble and Mann Middle School’s drum line.

Disco cover band The Afrodisiacs will headline the musical festivities.
A mini-parade will feature the Clover Park High School drum line, Clover Park and Lakes High School marching band, Lakes dance team, Life Christian drum line, and Lakewood Lutheran Church and School kids.
Activities will include pop culture trivia, hands-on mosaic building, sidewalk chalk art, face painting, Instagram scavenger hunt with prizes and coloring activities. Vintage cars from the LeMay Family Collection Foundation and a LeMay dump truck will be on display, along with a Grand Prix Raceway vintage go-kart.
