River otters, beavers welcomed at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park
A baby animal boom at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park continues, and visitors now can see river otters, beavers and a skunk.
Two North American river otters recently arrived from Zoo Montana and are making themselves at home in the Trek park’s wetlands.
Three newborn beaver kits are starting to venture out of their den to learn to swim. Plus, a new skunk now lives in the exhibit space for small forest animals.
The new arrivals come on the heels of bison, elk calves, big horn sheep lambs, deer fawns and goslings recently born in the 435-acre Free Roaming Area.
Northwest Trek, in Eatonville, is open 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
