Algona house fire displaces 6
Four adults, two children and the family dog were displaced Thursday morning after a house fire damaged their home in Algona, according to the Valley Regional Fire Authority.
A resident reported the fire at the home in the 400 block of Warde Street about 11:12 a.m., a news release said.
Firefighters arrived to thick, black smoke billowing from the roof, and put the fire out within half an hour.
The home’s second floor sustained heavy fire damage, while smoke and water damaged the first floor.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
