Free school meals to continue as ‘grab-n-go’ sack lunches at five pick-up sites
To help support families during the school closure due to the coronavirus, Peninsula School District will offer free meals to all students 18 and under.
Lunches will be grab-and-go sack lunch style, with either a sandwich or wrap with fruit, vegetables, and milk.
Lunches will be provided at the following sites for pickup Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.:
- Artondale Elementary;
- Evergreen Elementary;
- Purdy Elementary;
- Key Peninsula Middle School; and
- Gig Harbor High School.
Meal stations will be located near the front of each school to encourage social distancing.
Students must be present to receive a lunch.
Students do not need to qualify for free or reduced meals to receive a lunch, and no forms or registration are required.
Persons who cannot get to one of the sites, may contact 253-530-1016 for help.
