Salmon Tour — Harbor WildWatch salmon tour begins at Austin Estuary at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, and ends at Donkey Creek Park about 11 a.m. Learn all about salmon’s life cycle while viewing spawning salmon. Meet in Austin Estuary Park near the picnic table.

Restore Open House — 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at Restore, 6659 Kimball Dr. C-301. Holiday open house featuring locally made crafts, candles, oils and pillows.

Wednesday

Key Peninsula Community Council 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. Council celebrates its 15th Anniversary with a “takeover” of El Sombrero, 15611 92nd St. KPN.

Ready, Set, Go — 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 in Key Peninsula Civic Center, 17010 S. Vaughn Road. Free early learning program for 3-to-4-year-olds, with focus on kindergarten readiness. Limited to 16 children with parent or caregiver. Information 253-884-5433.

Holiday Wreath Making — 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 in Rosedale Hall, 8205 86th Ave NW. Create your own wreath with PenMet Parks experts. $65 cost covers materials, snacks and a seasonal beverage.

Holiday Tree Lighting — 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 in Skansie Brothers Park, 3207 Harborview Drive. Music, hot cider, cocoa and cookies at the net shed as everyone counts down to the big moment. It’s all free, courtesy the Downtown Waterfront Alliance. After the tree lighting, join the divers of Pier into the Night for a live video look at underwater creatures.

Santa Sleigh Photo-Op — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Patrick Kelly State Farm, 3412 56th St. NW. Bring the kids and the camera for a photo with Santa and his sleigh.

Eagles Bazaar — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Gig Harbor Eagles Club, 4425 Burnham Dr. Unique and affordable holiday gifts from local vendors. Breakfast and lunch available from the Eagles kitchen. Proceeds benefit the Kidney Foundation.

Christmas Choral Concert — 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Harbor Ridge Middle School, 9010 Prentice Ave. The Peninsula Community Chorus is joined by the Kopachuck Middle School Advanced Chorus for a free concert of holiday and other music.

Chili Cookoff — 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 7701 Skansie Ave. Chili dinner, appetizers and deserts to benefit Eastside Baby Center (West Sound). Guests are asked to bring an unwrapped new toy, winter clothing or diapers for children under 5.

Santa’s Boatshop — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Eddon Boatyard, 3805 Harborview Dr. Children ages 3 and up are invited to build and paint model boats in “Santa’s Boatyard.” Limit 10 children per one-hour session beginning every half-hour. Children must be accompanied by an adult. $15 or $25 for two; includes materials.

Messiah Singalong — 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Singalong with Handel’s Messiah at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12002 Peacock Hill Ave. Choir, soloists and orchestra will accompany the “audience choir” for this Christmas favorite.
