Gig Harbor police blotter: A video ruckus in the hospital, and a six-pack minus three

Disorderly in a hospital

Feb. 14 – Police were called at 6:27 p.m. to St. Anthony Hospital, where a woman patient and her son had become disorderly after a disagreement with staff. The pair were yelling at hospital workers and recording them on their phones, officers said. They were escorted from the property. The cause of the disagreement was not known.

Three for the road

Feb. 15 – After an officer pulled over a vehicle for reckless driving, he noticed the smell of alcohol in the car. The woman driving admitted to buying a six-pack at a grocery store, and drinking three of the beers before driving home.

Police pulled the woman over at 7:21 p.m. on Olympic Drive after she was seen driving ten miles slower than the speed limit, and swerving across a double yellow line.

The woman failed the sobriety test and was arrested for driving under influence of alcohol.
