Peninsula Calendar for March 19 includes a telephone town hall on coronavirus

Telephone Town Hall — 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19. State Rep. Michelle Caldier, (R-26th) will discuss the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic in a telephone town hall. To participate, call (360) 499-8352. To ask a question during the discussion, press the star (*) key.

Cancellations

All events at the Gig Harbor and Peninsula public libraries have been canceled, and the libraries are closed. All Peninsula Metropolitan Parks district sports leagues and events have been canceled, although the parks remain open.

Schools are closed, and all events taking place at schools have been canceled.

Gig Harbor Civic Center is closed to the public and public meetings are canceled.

All service club meetings that normally take place at Cottesmore of Life Care and Harbor Place have been canceled.
