Gig Harbor fire calls: A motorcycle crash, a flaming car, and a nasty fall

May 9: Motorcycle accident — Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One responded to the report of motorcycles and riders down in the road on State Route 16 near Burnham Drive just before 3 p.m. Gig Harbor Police Department was on scene and had blocked the roadway to traffic for scene safety. Both riders were evaluated and treated by medics and transported to the hospital for further care.

May 9: Car fire — Multiple reports of a car fire at the intersection of 38th Avenue and Hunt Street came in around 6:00 p. m. Callers reported flames coming out of the hood with people trying to put it out. Firefighters arrived to a fully involved car fire. The driver had left the scene. Crews extinguished the fire. Gig Harbor Police Department was on the scene investigating.

May 11: Head Injury — Medics were called to the scene where a person had fallen backwards, hit their head and lost consciousness. Medics gathered information, evaluated and treated the patient at the scene. The patient was transported for further assessment and treatment.
