Police blotter: Frankly, these two guys didn’t need any more caffeine
Anxious for coffee
May 11 – A fight broke out at a coffee shop drive-through after one vehicle cut in front of another. A pushing match took place outside of their vehicles, resulting in one man tripping over a curb and hitting his head.
Police were dispatched at 10:50 a.m. to the 5001 block of Olympic Drive Northwest where they found a man lying on the ground with his head bleeding.
When the first vehicle cut off the other it resulted in a small collision between the two cars, police learned.
The man in front got out of his car and began yelling, hitting his hands against the second man’s vehicle. The second man got out of his car and a pushing match took place. The first man tripped over a curb when pushed, resulting in a concussion.
The man with the concussion could not remember many details of the altercation, saying he did not know how he got hurt or why he was speaking with police. After some time, he told police he briefly remembers getting rear-ended in the drive-through
The report was forwarded to a prosecutor for further review and possible charges.
Mysterious bang
May 15 – A loud crash was heard inside an apartment complex’s laundry room.
Police were dispatched at 12:16 a.m. to the 7500 block of Hill Ave., where the caller told police that she shares a wall with the laundry room, and heard a loud bang. The woman investigated, but did not see anything.
After investigating, police noticed there was damage to the door frame, but there were no signs of theft. No action was taken.
