Police blotter: A wallet goes astray, and a larcenous gardener steals lawn tools

Lost wallet

June 11 – A woman believes her wallet was stolen after she sat it down to take photos of the scenery at a dock.

Police were dispatched at 11:53 a.m. to the 3200 block of Harborview Drive where the woman visited a brewery, and then went to the dock to take photos. Sometime in between her walk from the brewery to the dock, she set down her wallet and could not locate it.

The wallet held her ID, debit dard, and Social Security card. She called her bank to cancel her cards.

Yard tools stolen

June 12 – An unknown person entered a fenced area and stole a string trimmer, leaf blower, and two keys to vehicles in the lot.

Police were dispatched at 9:03 a.m. to the 8000 block of Sehmel Drive. The area is a large parking lot with numerous semi-trucks and tractors, along with a storage unit and shop. The suspect opened doors to many large trucks, but nothing was taken from them.

Video surveillance shows a pickup truck arriving to the scene, and a man entering into the facility. The video is a distant view so the license plate could not be read. At this time, there are no suspects.
