Puyallup teacher tapped as assistant principal at Gig Harbor High School

Jason Gregory, a former administrator in the Puyallup School District, has been selected as the new assistant principal at Gig Harbor High School, the district announced.

Gregory most recently served as a Spanish teacher and Administrative Intern at Puyallup High School. He has held past positions as a middle school Spanish teacher, summer program teacher and adjunct Spanish instructor in higher education.

His education background includes a master’s degree in education, a master’s degree in Spanish and a bachelor of arts degree from Portland State University. He recently completed administrator certification at the City University of Seattle.

“Gregory is a bilingual communicator passionate about teaching and learning,” said district spokesperson Aimee Gordon in a news release. “He has extensive experience building relationships with staff, students and community members from diverse backgrounds. In interviews, and through reference checks, it is clear he is a strong leader with a passion for helping all students succeed and has dedicated his career to that goal.”

He joins Principal Michelle Suiter and Assistant Principal MaryKate Grant on the administrative leadership team at GHHS.
