Here’s our photo album of the area’s quirkiest, funniest, friendliest 4th of July parade

It may not be the biggest Independence Day parade around, but the annual event in Home on the Key Peninsula is certainly the quirkiest, often the funniest, and absolutely the friendliest. “No one organizes it. It just happens,” says Anne Nesbit, PIO of the Key Peninsula Fire Department, which always sends an engine or two or three. After the fire engines come — well, just about anything on wheels or afoot, from lawn tractors to miniature pigs. Scroll below for our photo album of this year’s festivities.
