Nighttime work may cause delays at Narrows Bridge toll plaza Wednesday

Some eastbound lanes and an on-ramp to the Narrows Bridge will be closed on State Route 16 near the toll plaza overnight Wednesday, the Washington State Department of Transportation has warned.

Maintenance crews will close the 24th Street Northwest on-ramp to eastbound SR 16 at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27 and the three mainline lanes at 10 p.m. to perform scheduled maintenance on the Good To Go! electronic toll equipment. All vehicles will be routed through the manual toll booths until the lanes and on-ramp reopen at 4 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28.

Drivers with an active Good To Go! pass in their vehicle who wish to pay with cash or credit card instead of their account at the toll booth will need to tell the toll collector how they want to pay, WSDOT said.
