Pierce County sheriff’s deputies seek suspect in credit union robbery
Pierce County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed a credit union branch Wednesday in Key Center.
A white male in his 20s presented a note demanding money to a teller about 12:20 p.m. at the Sound Credit Union branch at 8920 Key Peninsula Highway, according to Sgt. Darren Moss, the department’s public information officer.
The man did not display a weapon, and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Moss said. He was described as wearing a blue and tan shirt. A discarded coat and hat were found near the scene, but it was not clear whether they were worn by the suspect.
