She was unconscious when police arrived

Around 3 p.m. on May 4, Gig Harbor police were dispatched to Sound Credit Union at 4524 Point Fosdick Drive regarding an unwanted person refusing to leave.

When officers arrived, they saw a woman who appeared to be unconscious inside the building.

They discovered she was breathing, but she did not wake up when they shook her, according to a police report.

Bank staff told officers the woman got into an altercation with a customer who pushed her. Witnesses said the woman fell but did not hit her head, according to the report.

Police radioed for firefighters, who arrived and provided medical aid.

When the woman woke up, she began yelling at firefighters and police and ripped a blood-pressure monitor off herself, police said.

She then walked out the front doors.

Officers followed and told her that her bank account was now closed with Sound Credit Union, and staff issued her a check with her account balance, which they placed in her purse.

The check was for over $6,000.

The woman continued to walk out of the store and yelled to the officer he could keep her bag.

Officers also told her she was trespassed from the bank and she could be arrested if she returned.

The woman’s purse was booked into evidence along with the check.

A stranger was sleeping downstairs

Gig Harbor Police responded to a burglary in progress at a home on Harborview Drive, April 27 just after 11am.

When officers arrived, they met the homeowner who told them someone was sleeping behind their couch. Officers went inside and did not find anyone behind the couch, according to the police report.

While officers were clearing the rest of the house, they found a woman using one of the bathrooms.

Officers asked her to exit the bathroom, then placed her in handcuffs.

When asked why she was at the home, she told officers she thought it was a real estate property. She refused to acknowledge officers reading her Miranda rights.

She “became aggressive, stating that we were just there to kill her,” the officer wrote in the report. “She continued stating we were Russian cosmonauts and Ukrainian killers.”

Police transported the her to Kitsap County Jail and booked her for trespassing.

They got away with using fake bills

When officers arrived at Famous Footwear, 5151 Borgen Blvd., employees told them two people had used six fake $100 bills around 4 p.m on May 3 to purchase several items, according to a police report.

Employees did not realize the money was fake until after the suspects left the store.

A female suspect had used her rewards program account at checkout, and employees gave police her name.

Police took the fake bills, itemized receipt and surveillance footage as evidence.
