One person was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Sept. 16 on the Key Peninsula.

Key Peninsula Fire posted on Facebook letting drivers know Danforth Street Northwest was closed while crews worked at the scene.

Danforth was closed for about an hour and a half from state Route 302 to 91st Avenue Northwest.

The road reopened around 6:30 p.m.

A car hit a CenturyLink employee while they were working on a cable box on the side of the road, Anne Nesbit, a spokesperson for KPFD told the Gateway Monday morning.

The driver then left the scene.

“Their injuries were very serious, however, it looks like they will survive the accident,” Nesbit said about the CenturyLink worker.

She said she could not share additional details about the person or their injuries.

Police found the alleged hit-and-run driver almost immediately and they were arrested, Nesbit said.
