SR 302 drivers: Expect alternating one-way traffic, backups during guardrail work

Drivers traveling on state Route 302 Thursday should expect construction traffic.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 5, maintenance crews will be doing guardrail work, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation’s website.

Drivers may want to choose an alternate route as the eastbound lane at milepost 14.6 near Emerald Drive Northwest and 84th Avenue Northwest will be closed, the WSDOT website said.

“Travelers can expect one-way alternating traffic through the work zone with cues of up to a half-mile in both directions,” according to the WSDOT website.

Flaggers will be guiding the alternating traffic and backups are expected in each direction.
