On Sunday, Oct. 8, Key Peninsula Fire Department received a call from someone fishing at Bay Lake.

The person called KPFD after noticing a truck and floating garbage in the water.

The truck was unoccupied and determined to be stolen, according to a KPFD Facebook post.

KFPD turned the case over to Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

The truck was listed stolen in Kitsap County, Sgt. Darren Moss, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department, told the Gateway on Monday, Oct. 9.
