Gig Harbor drivers: This road closure is going to affect commuters. Here’s what we know
Gig Harbor drivers may want to avoid Harborview Drive Thursday.
The city posted on Facebook Monday that, if weather permits, North Harborview Drive will be closed at Harborview Drive Oct. 12 for repairs from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Crews will work on and around the North Harborview Drive bridge over Donkey Creek, according to Public Works Director Jeff Langhelm
The road work “will include roadway surface repairs and utility manhole repairs,” Langhelm told the Gateway Wednesday. .
“Traffic detours will be in place at Harborview Drive and Burnham Drive,” according to the city’s Facebook post.
