This longtime Christmas tree market in Gig Harbor has a new home after a sudden eviction
They thought the previous holiday season was their last. Now Patterson’s Farm Market is back in a new location, at least for the holidays.
The longtime market and produce stand is where many Gig Harbor-area residents get their Christmas trees and wreaths.
During last holiday season the Patterson family was suddenly evicted from the lot they’d been located at for decades. The owners of the lot told the Patterson family they wanted to do something else with the space on 38th Avenue in Gig Harbor.
They had to vacate six days after Christmas. It came as a shock to the Pattersons, Shelli Patterson previously told the Gateway.
The Pattersons found a new place to sell their Christmas trees and handmade decor this holiday season.
Starting Friday, Nov. 24, shoppers can find them set up in the parking lot of Anderson’s Market at 1902 Point Fosdick Dr. They will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m daily. until Dec. 18. Then they’ll only be open for custom orders and special requests until Dec. 24, Patterson said.
Patterson told the Gateway Wednesday, Nov. 15, that Anderson’s contacted them shortly after last holiday season and invited them to use the space.
She said they looked into getting another lease of their own elsewhere, but it did not make sense financially.
This year they’ll have Christmas trees, fresh cedar garlands, and local handmade wreaths.
Those with a special holiday request or an idea for a custom order can call 253-225-2479 or message the Patterson’s Farm Market Facebook page.
