Driver injured in rollover wreck on Key Peninsula Highway. Here’s what we know
A driver involved in a rollover wreck Tuesday night, March 5, on the Key Peninsula had to be freed from their car by fire personnel and taken to a local hospital.
Key Peninsula Fire posted on Facebook to alert other drivers of the crash.
“Shortly after 5 p.m. this afternoon your fire crews responded to a single car rollover,” they said in their post.
The car was flipped over in the 9700 block of Key Peninsula Highway Northwest, according to the post.
When asked what happened, Anne Nesbit, a spokesperson for the agency told the Gateway March 6 that the car left the road, and that they suspected the driver was under the influence.
She said “the patient was extricated (from the car) and transported to the hospital.”
When asked about the patient’s injuries, Nesbit said they were moderate.
