New spa has an experiential shower. It is celebrating with swag, discounts and more
Serenity Spa has officially opened its doors in Gig Harbor.
The name should sound familiar. Serenity Spa has two other Pierce County locations, one in downtown Tacoma and at The Village at Chambers Bay in University Place.
It’s owner, Megan Douglas, created Serenity Spa over 15 years ago.
She announced she’d be expanding to Gig Harbor back in January of this year. The Gateway spoke to Douglas about the announcement and details for the new space.
Serenity Spa in Gig Harbor, 4641 Point Fosdick Dr., Suite 300, softly opened for business March 14. It replaced Massage Envy.
Each location offers an array of services including Hydrafacials, basic facials, advanced facials, waxing, sugaring, massages, body treatments and more.
You can find an infrared sauna only in the University Place and Gig Harbor locations, which has benefits for muscle recovery, collagen production and anti-aging, Douglas previously said.
Visitors can burn up to 600 calories in a single 30-minute session, according to Douglas.
Something the Gig Harbor location has, that the other two do not, is an experiential shower.
Inside the shower customers will walk into a room with calming music, subtle LED lights, six jets, and a waterfall feature, the Gateway previously reported.
“Sometimes people want to spend some time relaxing on their own,” Douglas previously told the Gateway.
To celebrate the new opening, Serenity Spa is hosting a grand opening party March 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. The event is open-house style at the Gig Harbor location.
“Come tour the new Gig Harbor space, enjoy bubbles, swag bags and complimentary skincare consults, receive 20% off our entire retail section, and so much more,” Serenity Spa said on Instagram.
