Mongolian grill restaurant closes its Pierce County location after 10 years
Gig Harbor residents now have one less option for a casual dinner out.
Wok on Fire Asian B.B.Q., a Mongolian grill restaurant in Gig Harbor’s Olympic Village, recently closed its doors. Besides Mongolian barbecue, they also served popular Korean dishes like bulgogi.
Residents have been posting on social media about the closure. The now-dark location at 5500 Olympic Dr. NW has a sign on the door thanking customers for the last 10 years. The restaurant opened in 2015 and underwent renovations to their interior in 2016, according to its Facebook page.
“It has been an honor serving this community, and we are beyond grateful for your support, loyalty, and the many wonderful memories we’ve shared,” the sign said.
The sign encouraged customers to visit their other location in Silverdale, “where the entire crew will be there to welcome and serve” them.
The News Tribune was not immediately able to reach owners of the business.
