Did you feel it? 2.8 magnitude earthquake’s epicenter was near Pierce Co. school

A small earthquake hit the Key Peninsula Wednesday afternoon in the Wauna area.

The quake at 3:48 p.m. had a magnitude of 2.8, according to the U.S. Geological Survey website. The epicenter was around 2.7 miles west-southwest of Wauna, at a depth of around 16 miles. The coordinates reported by USGS are close to Minter Creek Elementary School.
