City of Gig Harbor asks for community input in survey for updating Parks Plan

The City of Gig Harbor is updating its Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Plan and is asking the community for input.

The city has created a survey asking about the popularity of parks facilities and events and how community members want to see parks funding spent.

The goal of the city is to create a plan that provides high quality and community-driven parks resources throughout Gig Harbor.

The tentative schedule for the final review and adoption of the updated PROS Plan is February of 2016.

Community members are also invited to attend the Parks Commission meetings, held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 7, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2 at the Gig Harbor Civic Center, 3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor.
