City to celebrate Jerisich Dock improvements Wednesday

The city of Gig Harbor will host a ribbon-cutting celebration at 10 a.m. Wednesday (April 20) at Jerisich Dock, located at 3211 Harborview Drive, to celebrate the completion of the improvements to the dock.

In order to upgrade the boating amenities offered at Jerisich Dock, a construction project to extend water and power services onto the dock for use by moored vessels was completed this spring. The project also included automatic payment kiosk and gangway resurfacing.

The City Council approved the implementation of the new moorage fees, which went into effect once the electronic kiosk was installed in the park. Other Jerisich Dock changes approved by the Council are updates to the city municipal code that allows the police department to enforce the new moorage rates and time limits.
