Cheers to Peninsula Light Company for the quick response to a power outage on Oct. 15.
Cheers to the Gig Harbor Fire Department. When a smoke detector in my home began beeping, my decreased height and increased age prevented me from safely replacing its battery. A phone call to the fire department resulted in a fireman coming to my home. He not only replaced the battery but also installed a second smoke detector for my increased safety. It’s comforting to know we have such caring people watching out for the safety of our community.
