Cheers and Jeers, July 15
Cheers to whomever picked up our runaway Shih Tzu (Keiko) on the Fourth and delivered her to the Artondale Fire Department. My wife was extremely relieved.
Jeers to those lazy, selfish people that can’t be bothered to clean up their own mess. Every year they lug their fireworks down to the Purdy Spit and every year they leave their mess laying around everywhere.
Cheers to Jeff Charboneau and Tom Yardman for moving our boat, which had lost a wheel off its old trailer, off the shoulder of SR 302. Your actions saved an annual father/sons/grandsons fishing trip to Jameson Lake that has gone on for over 40 years..
Jeers to the green Kia that tailgated me about 8:30 p.m. Monday night (July 13) from the roundabouts toward David Day Road. You were always, literally, two inches off my bumper — even when I stopped for the car making a turn in front of me. You are going to kill us all!
Cheers to the Summer Lunch Program volunteers who cheerfully come to the Key Peninsula Civic Center to help us feed our kids. We appreciate all you do for our kids.
Cheers to the people who picked up the fireworks mess on the Purdy Spit by Monday evening when I drove home after work.
