Woock thanks supporters in council race
The results of our Nov. 3 city council position #6 election have now been certified, and we came up short by only 24 votes — one of the closest city council elections in Gig Harbor history.
Gig Harbor citizens sent a powerful message of change to the city council. We will be watching for the council to accept this message and respond with better transparency and significant citizen input on decisions that affect our community.
Together, we ran a fair, spirited, issue-oriented campaign. We used only information that was verifiable. Our goal has always been to invite participation and open discussion on issues that directly affect our beautiful town. A healthy, safe, accessible and functioning community creates a quality of life we all want.
I am so proud of what we accomplished, but our work is not done. You can count on me to continue speaking out on behalf of what we stand for. I will continue to be active in this community on those issues and more.
Thank you for your trust and support.
Jeni Woock, Gig Harbor
