Cheers and Jeers, Jan. 27

Cheers to Kyle with Hansens Harbor Tree Service. He was very professional, and did an amazing job cutting back our trees. It was so great to work with such a professional company. We have used them before and will definitely use them again.

Jeers to the driver on Jan. 20 at around 6 p.m. who hit a black/white dog on 78th Ave close to Sylvia Lake and just left her bleeding and dying on the road shoulder. Likely no one saw you, so you just continued on your way. No reason to stop, just a dog. Not your problem. But it is your problem. It becomes everyone’s problem when you behave so mindlessly. Where is your compassion? She did not deserve to die in pain, terrified, cold and wet, tossed aside. Shame on you.

To submit a cheer or jeer, email cheersandjeers@gateline.com. Jeers directed toward individuals or businesses will not be accepted.
