Cheers and Jeers, June 9

Jeers to the home on Honeymoon Bay which threw their tree and brush pruning and grass clippings in the bay.

Cheers to the couple who found my driver’s license that I lost while walking on Harborview Dr. on May 23. They determined that I lived in Canterwood and dropped it off at the guard gate. This is another great example of the wonderful people who live in and visit our town.

Cheers to Girl Scout Troop #44115 and their leader for making lap blankets for patients at St. Anthony Hospital. This philanthropic effort allows many patients additional comfort during their stay in the hospital. Your dedication in helping our community is outstanding!

Jeers to the judging committee for not judging cars on Pioneer St. during the Maritime Gig Festival. Six cars were left without being judged, no one came up the street to look, and there were some nice cars — including a rare French car.

Cheers to the bicyclists who follow the rules of the road. Jeers to those who don’t. That’s how accidents happen. Stop means stop to all!
