Cheers and Jeers, June 30

Jeers to the citizens of this town who are upset with the campaign signs that line our streets. I look forward to seeing these signs every election year. That is what this country is all about! Freedom of speech! Please enjoy the signs and do not deface them.

Cheers to all the good people who respect service dogs (and those in training) by ignoring them or admiring them from a distance. It is hard work to train these lovely animals and distractions can easily set them back.

Cheers to Grandpa Randy and 4-year-old Emma for rescuing us on Sunday! You were so friendly, so helpful, and so persistent! You just wouldn’t give up on us, even though it used up a good portion of your beautiful afternoon. We will keep you in mind and find a way to “pass it on” by assisting others who may be in some kind of tough situation. Thank you.

To submit a cheer or a jeer: Email cheersandjeers@gateline.com. Jeers directed toward individuals or businesses will not be accepted.
