Ezra Meeker historian to visit Puyallup Public Library and speak about new book
The Puyallup Public Library will host author and historian Dennis Larsen at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 28) for a book-signing event.
Larsen will speak about his new book, “Hop King: Ezra Meeker’s Boom Years.”
An independent historian and former social studies teacher, Larsen has written for historical journals and is author/co-author of four other books. He speaks frequently on the Oregon Trail, Northwest pioneers, and of course, Ezra Meeker.
Copies of “Hop King” will be available for purchase and refreshments will be served. This program is offered free to the public in partnership with the Puyallup Historical Society – Meeker Mansion.
The library is located at 324 S Meridian in downtown Puyallup.
