Revamp of South Hill Walmart means bigger beer selection, dollar store, other changes
Expect to see some changes when you walk into the Walmart at 16502 Meridian E. near Puyallup.
A remodel of the South Hill store is finished, the company said in a press release Dec. 14.
The store renovated its pharmacy and electronics departments, and a mother’s room was added, among other improvements. A dollar store section can be found near the front entrance, and a grab-and-go shop can be found near the grocery entrance.
Craft beer and wine selections have also been expanded.
The store expanded its online pickup and delivery service to offer more availability to customers, according to the press release. New signage and flooring have also been put in place around the store “for better line of sight and easier navigation.”
The improvements complement COVID-19 measures Walmart had already put in place, the press release said.
“Our updated store will help Puyallup customers get their shopping done faster,” store manager Doug Knudtson said in the press release. “Our store is now even more convenient with expanded Online Grocery Pickup and more inventory of our customers’ favorite items.”
