2,500 hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars and others are coming to Puyallup this month

Car enthusiasts in the Puyallup area will get a chance to marvel at muscle cars and custom hot rods this month.

The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is hosting its 34th Griot’s Garage Pacific Northwest Nationals show from Friday, July 22 to Sunday, July 24 at the Washington State Fair Events Center.

Event hours for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., respectively. The Washington State Fair Events Center is at 110 Ninth Ave. SW.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at good-guys.com. Tickets for those 13 and older are $25. Children ages 7 to 12 get in for $10. Those 6 and under get in free. Parking is free.

Over 2,500 hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars and other vehicles will be at the event. There will be a drag racing and cruising event, as well as a burnout competition. Visitors can expect a kids zone, live entertainment and food vendors.

“Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is the world’s largest hot-rodding association,” a news release said. “Their events feature thousands of hot rods and customs, tricked-out trucks, muscle cars, and classics sprawled throughout venues such as fairgrounds, super speedways, and large outdoor stadiums.”
