This $115 million business park would bring jobs to Pierce County, roundabout to SR 410

A chunk of land near state Route 410 and 225th Avenue Court East in Bonney Lake might become a 50-acre business park.

The City Council is considering a development agreement for a business park for light industrial, manufacturing, wholesale and office uses. Onsite and offsite utility and roadway improvements would also be included in the project.

Five buildings, totaling about 850,000 square feet, would be in the Peak410 Business Park. There would be hundreds of parking stalls scattered around the park. There are also plans for a roundabout on SR 410.

The 50-acre business park is estimated to cost $115 million, a Bonney Lake city official said.

The project is estimated to cost $115 million, the city’s planning and building supervisor, Jason Sullivan said. It would be paid for by the developers: Rainier RCL, LLC; ANVIL RCL, LLC; and DRJ Holdings LLC.

The developers did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The News Tribune about their plans for the property and whether they had potential anchor tenants in mind.

The project would help upgrade roads, sewer and other infrastructure in the area, Sullivan said. It would also create 700 “family-wage jobs” in the city, he said.

The City Council held a public hearing on the project Sept. 27. Council members will vote on the development agreement Oct. 11. Construction would begin in December 2024 and finish December 2030, Sullivan said.
