Puyallup: News

There’s a Puyallup intersection drivers, pedestrians should try to avoid for two days

A Puyallup intersection will be closed for two days between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. next week.

Crews will work at the West Stewart Avenue and Seventh Street Northwest intersection on Monday, Nov. 21, and Tuesday, Nov. 22, according to a news release from Sound Transit.

They will continue construction on a new traffic signal there. They will build mast arms and install cameras, signs and a detection system.

Detours will be in place, and construction work might create noise.

On-street parking on Stewart Avenue near Seventh Street Northwest is restricted. Sidewalks on each corner of the intersection will be inaccessible until the end of the year.
