Cellphone, landline, internet outages reported in East Pierce County. Here’s what we know

Update: Orting Valley Fire and Rescue posted later Monday that all services had been restored.

Initial post: Some residents in the Orting area are experiencing cellphone, landline and internet outages, according to Orting Valley Fire and Rescue.

The agency posted at 1:46 p.m. Monday on social media that residents who can’t call 911 should contact station 40 or 43 in person.

“Please do not call 911 to test the system,” the post said.

Xfinity detected an outage in the area and is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, according to its outage map.

City Clerk Kim Agfalvi wrote in an email that Xfinity does not show the number of homes affected or when service will be restored.
