5-car wreck closed part of SR 410, sent 4 people to the hospital. Here’s what we know

A five-car wreck shut down a Bonney Lake intersection for hours Tuesday evening.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. at state Route 410 and 214th Avenue East.

Crews took four people to the hospital, according to a social media post from the Bonney Lake Police Department.

Assistant Chief Ryan Boyle told The News Tribune Wednesday afternoon that one person was still at the hospital. He said he couldn’t share more information about the patients. There were no fatalities.

Boyle said surrounding roads were backed up Tuesday night, but vehicles were able to use alternate routes to get around the wreck. Officers reopened the intersection around 11:30 p.m.

The metro collision response team is still investigating the cause of the crash. Boyle said more information may be released within the next several days. Boyle said investigators don’t yet know if they’ll refer the case to prosecutors for possible charges
