Update: Body found at Bonney Lake park. Detectives reopen the area after investigation

Update: Bonney Lake police said they reopened the park at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Initial post: Cedarview Park in Bonney Lake is closed until further notice.

The Bonney Lake Police Department posted 10:38 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, on social media that the park at 301 208th Ave. E. was closed due to “police activity.”

Bonney Lake Police Detective Tobie Johnston told The News Tribune they received a call Tuesday morning about a man found dead at the park. Officers closed the area around 9:30 a.m. The park was still closed Tuesday afternoon.

Johnston said she couldn’t disclose other information such as the man’s age or if he was a Bonney Lake resident. She said there were no signs of foul play.

The case is still under investigation.
