Keke Wyatt, Carl Thomas will headline Neo Soul Fest in downtown Puyallup this weekend
Neo Soul music is coming back to Puyallup for a two-day event this weekend.
Dope Culture, a Black-owned event company that focuses on showcasing local artists, will host their second annual Neo Soul Fest on July 22 and 23 at Pioneer Park Pavilion at 330 South Meridian.
The event will consist of a free outdoor Black-owned business market and a 3-hour long concert filled with local Neo Soul artists as well as national headliners. The concert portion of the festival requires a ticket and is 21-plus.
Dope Culture LLC CEO and founder Anthony Tibbs said that they created this festival to give a stage to local Neo Soul artists.
“We created a situation where a lot of polished Neo Soul acts and local Neo Soul acts can share the stage with national acts like Keke Wyatt and Carl Thomas,” Tibbs said.
