Popular bubble tea shop, Happy Lemon, opens new Pierce County store. They have waffles
Bonney Lake residents have a new place to get their boba fix.
Happy Lemon at 9812 205th Ave. E. is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. The bubble tea store had its grand opening Sept. 23-24.
Customers can expect to spend between $4.95 to $7.50 per item.
The store offers hot and cold drinks such as milk teas, smoothies and fruit teas. The drinks can have toppings such as tapioca, lychee jelly and salted cheese for an additional cost.
Customers can also purchase a bubble waffle and a side of dipping sauce. The waffles can be flavored with chocolate, oreo or matcha. The dipping sauces available are salted cheese, puff cream, puff and oreo cream, as well as tiramisu salted cheese.
Store owner Hang Tran said Happy Lemon is unique because the tea used in the beverages is imported from Taiwan. The drinks and waffles are made fresh, she said.
Happy Lemon also has stores in Tacoma, Federal Way and Kent. The franchise has over 2,000 locations in 21 countries.
