Cotton candy burritos with ice cream inside? Here’s what else is new at the Spring Fair

Spring Fair is around the corner. It will run from April 11-14 and 18-21 in Puyallup. Here is a rundown of what fairgoers should expect.

2024 Puyallup Spring Fair hours

The fairgrounds will be open from 2-10 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Fairgoers can enter from the Blue, Gold, Red and Purple gates.

Puyallup Spring Fair tickets

Tickets purchased online are cheaper than paying at the gate.

Early bird prices end April 4. Tickets cost $13 for those ages 13 and up and $11 for children ages 6-12. These discount tickets are good to use for any day of the Spring Fair.

Regular prices start April 5.

Regular weekend tickets online will cost $15 for those ages 13 and up and $12 for children ages 6-12. Regular weekday tickets online will cost $13 for those ages 13 and up and $11 for children ages 6-12.

Weekend tickets at the gate will cost $17 for those ages 13 and up and $13 for children ages 6-12. Weekday tickets at the gate will cost $14 for those ages 13 and up and $12 for children ages 6-12.

Children 5 and under get in free. On Thursdays, those 18 and under get free admission.

Spring Fair parking in Puyallup

On Thursdays, parking is free. It will cost $15 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Premium parking costs $25 or $30 on weekends. VIP parking costs $40 and must be reserved online.

Fairgoers can get $3 off general parking if they visit a local O’Reilly Auto Parts store.

General parking is in the Gold, Blue, Red and Green lots. Premium parking is at Ninth Avenue Southwest and Fourth Street Southwest between the Red and Gold Gate. VIP parking is across from the Gold Gate.

Food at the Spring Fair

The Circus at the Mattress Firm ShowPlex will offer carnival food such as cotton candy burritos with ice cream inside and deep-fried cheeseburgers.

Coffee lovers can get a cup or two from Bean Hut Espresso at Showplace Way.

Rod’s Texas Smokehouse at the Coca-Cola Plaza will offer barbecue eats.

Other vendors such as Earthquake’s Biggest Burgers, Fisher Scones and Glow Tea will also be at the fair.

Things to do at the Spring Fair

Those who enjoy seeing tricked-out monster trucks and vehicles smashing into one another may want to add Motorsport Mayhem to their list of things to do. Shows are scheduled for April 12-14 and 19-21 at the Grandstand.

Expedition: Dinosaur in the Centennial Tent will showcase large animatronic dinosaurs and interactive displays. The exhibit will explore the world of dinosaurs and how humans searched for their fossils in the early 20th century.

The annual barbecue competition will also be at the fair April 20-21. Fairgoers can also expect pig racing at the Fountain Plaza, monster truck rides at The Arena and a performance celebrating Mexico’s culture and arts at the Showplace Stage.
