The Daffodil Festival parade is happening this weekend. Here’s when it’ll visit your city

Yellow floats and people dressed in yellow attire will soon flood the streets of Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner and Orting.

The 91st Daffodil Festival parade will happen Saturday, April 6.

The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m. in Tacoma. It will travel along Pacific Avenue between South 12th Street and South 21st Street.

The parade will continue at 12:45 p.m. in Puyallup. It will travel on Fourth Avenue Southwest, Third Street Southwest, West Meeker Avenue, South Meridian and Seventh Avenue Southwest.

The parade will continue again at 2:30 p.m. in Sumner. It will travel along Main Street, between Kincaid Avenue and Lewis Avenue.

The parade will end at 5 p.m. in Orting. It will travel along Washington Avenue between Whitesell Street South and Bridge Street Southeast.

High school bands, floats, businesses and organizations will be part of the parade.

This year’s Daffodil Queen is Alejandra Gonzalez from Puyallup High School, The Viking Vanguard, the school’s news organization, reported.

The queen will be at the parade with other princesses across Pierce County who are part of this year’s royal court.
