A Taylor Swift festival is taking over downtown Puyallup to celebrate her new album

Local businesses in downtown Puyallup are preparing something special for Taylor Swift fans.

The Tay Tour: A Downtown Celebration for Swifties is happening Friday, April 19. A total of 13 businesses will offer Swift-themed food and drinks for sale and activities to welcome the release of the artist’s new album: “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Here are the businesses participating:

  • Elements at 333 S. Meridian, Suite 111, will have dairy-free lavender haze lattes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Trackside Pizza at 201 N. Meridian will have a “marin-era tour” buffet and a Kansas City salad from 5-8 p.m.
  • MM Nutrition and Lick Homemade Ice Cream at 105 Second St. SW will have Swiftie ice cream sandwiches, temporary Swift-coded tattoos and stickers for sale from 4-9 p.m.
  • Til Death Jewelry Co. and the Lazy Ballerina Wine Bar at 319 S. Meridian will have permanent jewelry for sale, Clara Bow cocktails and a “Taylor’s Version” menu for those 21 years old and up from 5-11 p.m.
  • Crockett’s Public House at 118 E. Stewart Ave. will have French blonde cocktails from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • The Forum at 208 S. Meridian will have Swiftie bingo and “All Too Well” water from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Attendees 21 and older can add tequila to their drink, turning it into “seemingly ranch” water.
  • Giorgio’s Greek Cafe & Pizzeria at 328 S. Meridian will have an “anti-gyro” special from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Johnson Jewelers at 103 S. Meridian will have free friendship bracelet stations from 4-7 p.m.
  • Nuestro Barrio Multicultural Shop and CaskCades at 106 N. Meridian will have Swift soda floats, Travis Kelce cobb sandwiches, and Swift tees and sweatshirts for sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Meeker Mercantile at 109 W. Meeker will have Swift merchandise for sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Firehouse Pet Shop at 203 W. Stewart will have cat merchandise discounts and a cat cave giveaway from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Atomic Genius Records and more at 111 W. Meeker will have a limited quantity of Swift’s new album on colored vinyl for sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • The Coaster at 120 S. Meridian will have Swift-themed cocktail flights from 12-10 p.m.

The goal of the event is to introduce people to businesses they may not be familiar with, Morgan Medeiros said. Medeiros is a volunteer event coordinator for the Puyallup Main Street Association (PMSA).

In July 2023, Swift visited Washington state as a part of The Eras Tour. She performed at Lumen Field in Seattle. She drew over 72,000 fans, The Seattle Times reported.

Medeiros said Swift has been a “cultural moment” and that she bridges generations in a way not many musicians can.
