Looking for a veterinarian? This new clinic has beds, scratching posts for its patients

A primary and urgent-care clinic for cats and dogs just outside Puyallup is accepting new patients.

Toptails Vet Clinic at 11012 Canyon Road E. had its soft opening April 22. The clinic is near the Clover Creek and Summit area. It offers in-person and telehealth visits.

The clinic provides wellness exams, vaccinations and dental care, among other services. Dr. Abhishek Trikha said he is most excited about offering care to geriatric pets because his expertise lies in internal medicine, preventative care and pain management.

Trikha said he wanted to open a veterinary clinic to give pets a comfortable experience. His clinic has dog beds and scratching mats to make his patients feel at home, he said.

Trikha has 10 years of experience working at small animal clinics, according to the clinic’s website.

The clinic is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
