Junkers Nest — a vintage shop at 1002 Main St. in Sumner — is closing on March 31.

The store posted an announcement on Facebook and Instagram on March 21. Andrea Scott, the owner of the shop, told The News Tribune that the store is closing due to a mix of health problems on her end and the store’s financial conditions.

“We really love the Sumner community and everybody’s been great and very supportive,” Scott said. “We’re so thankful that we had the opportunity to be here.”

The shop sells vintage furniture, clothing, decorations, books, candles, soaps, lotions, stickers and more. Scott said everything in the store has been discounted by at least 30%. Some items are discounted at a higher rate, such as books at 50%.

Scott said that she plans to sell items online after the shop closes, but she is working on getting the website up and running. Customers will also be able to buy items on EBay.

“Follow us on Instagram and Facebook and we will keep that up to date with the information [on how to buy online] as things progress,” Scott said.

The business has been in operation for eight or nine years, Scott said, though she bought it three years ago.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated with more information about the store, including the reason behind its closure.
