Traffic alert: ‘Expect long delays’ on Pierce County highway during construction
Drivers can expect backups on a major Pierce County highway this Tuesday.
According to a Facebook post from the Orting Police Department, there will be delays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Orting Kapowsin Highway East, just west of 155th Avenue East as crews replace “a section of deteriorated culvert located along the road shoulder.”
“Approximately 150 feet of the road will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic. Flaggers will direct traffic,” the post says. “Expect long delays. Please consider using an alternate route if possible.”
