New gym coming to Puyallup this year, company confirms. Here’s what we know
A new Planet Fitness gym is coming to Puyallup, according to the company and permit records on the city’s website.
Company spokesperson Becky Zirlen told The News Tribune via email Tuesday that they hope to open the gym at 4102 S. Meridian before the end of the year.
Zirlen didn’t immediately respond to The News Tribune’s questions about the hours and amenities Planet Fitness has planned for the facility.
The commercial complex at that address also houses Best Buy, Boot Barn, Men’s Warehouse and Ross Dress for Less. It once was home to Bed Bath & Beyond, which filed for bankruptcy and closed stores across the country in 2023.
Planet Fitness also has a location at 625 River Road in Puyallup. The company was founded in 1992 in Dover, New Hampshire, according to the company’s website, and now has more than 2,700 gyms across the world.
